Dillon Garden Club

President: Marie Giere (683-5350)

Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month, except June, July and August (when we are gardening). Meetings are held in club member's homes. Please call the phone number above for meeting locations as we would like to meet all interested gardeners, regardless of experience.

On May 24, 2008, the Dillon Garden Club had the honor of presenting the City of Dillon with the long-anticipated Dillon Blue Star Memorial. Now a permanent reminder of the Dillon Garden Club's support and appreciation for all veterans, this memorial will grace the community of Dillon to honor its veterans for many years to come. Distinctive guests Darlene Skari, President of MFGC, Norm DeNeal, 1st MFGC VP, US Senator Jon Tester, and Dillon Mayor Martin Malisch participated in the dedication.

Our members support many community projects, including planting the main street medians and growing vegetables for the local food bank. We also sponsor an annual "First Daffodil-in-Bloom Contest" in Dillon. For the 26th year we are awarding prizes ($10.00 1st place; $7.50 2nd place; $5.00 3rd place) for the first callers with a daffodil in bloom.

We are a fun-loving group of hard-working gardeners. Come to a meeting to learn more or share your knowledge and we'll all learn successful strategies for growing a beautiful garden in Montana.
