Glendive Garden Club

President: Denise Fink, (406-365-4520), please call or email for membership information. We would love to meet another gardener!

The Glendive Garden Club usually meets the first Friday of the month (except January) at a member's home or public library (1:30 p.m.). We have many events planned this year which provide a broad range of information to interested gardeners. The programs are planned to expand our knowledge and to help us with our civic endeavors. Please see the schedule below.

2008 Programs and Meetings

Plant and Bake Sale: May 10, 9:00am at the Twilight Dining Room Parking Lot.

The Glendive Garden Club is actively involved in several beautification projects throughout the community.

The club was instrumental in establishing the Priscilla Hudson Garden at Lloyd Park. Priscilla Hudson was a member of the Glendive Garden Club. Our major project for this year is the maintenance of this garden which was recently renovated. The new garden was established as a community showcase for waterwise gardening.

Additionally, we furnish the plants and maintain eight large planters around the public library, in the large brick planter at the "Glendive Welcomes You" sign (built by the City of Glendive and partially funded by a Petals Grant) and at the Bell Street Bridge [see pictures].

Another large club effort is our work at Makoshika State Park where we started a "Gardener's Grove" near the Visitor Center. We have installed trees and shrubs that are native to the Park, a picnic table and bench. This past year we seeded and planted a wildflower area which is growing well.
