The club members meet on the first Monday of the month at noon in local restaurants. At times, we have night meetings at either member's homes or the library. The public is invited to call or email Dennis for information on the next meeting.

We've had a very interesting year and accomplished many goals. Our monthly meetings included advice and instruction on topics as varied as:

  • tips on how to impress county fair judges
  • pounding flowers
  • growing Bonsai and miniature flower arranging
  • master gardening programs
  • miniature table fountains
  • growing orchids
  • building rock gardens, and
  • landscaping the smaller yard

Club projects include:

  • sponsor and decorate a booth at the county fair
  • plant and maintain plantings at the rest stop, nursing home and library
  • putting out 80 flower boxes at Malta businesses
  • provide back to school bouquets for the teachers
  • sponsor two coffee and cookie Saturdays at the nursing home
  • sponsor a $300 college scholarship and junior garden clubs
  • bulb and plant sale in May, and
  • continue the Robinson House landscape restoration project

We're an active group of gardeners -- drop in to one of our meetings and hear what we're doing. You're sure to find interesting projects to work on and fun people to work with!
